A big house, a full deck, and a dated color.
This two-story home backs onto the golf course. Its white body and burgundy trim had faded, and the color scheme made a well-kept house look older than it is.
The new scheme is a warm sand body with bronze trim on the arches, the garage surrounds and the dormer window. The white deck rails stayed white, which gives the back of the house a clean edge against the new color.
A house this size, with a full upper deck and big walls of glass, is mostly a protection job. Every window, door and the whole deck surface got wrapped before a drop of paint went on.
Before & after
Drag the handle. Same house, same angle, one exterior repaint.

Watch the whole job
Two minutes, start to finish: masking, prep, spray and back-roll, and the reveal.
How we did it
The same order we follow on every exterior.
- 01

Protect everything
Windows, doors, the deck floor and the landscaping wrapped in plastic and paper so overspray never lands where it should not.
- 02

Prep from the ladder
Siding cleaned up and checked board by board, with seams and edges handled before any color goes on.
- 03

Spray, then back-roll
The body and garage doors sprayed, then back-rolled so the paint is worked into the surface instead of sitting on top of it.
- 04

Premium coating
Sherwin-Williams Emerald exterior paint, a top-tier coating built to hold color through Oregon sun and rain.
