QC Painting staining & finishing project in Oregon

Deck & Wood Staining

We wash, brighten, and seal your deck, fence, or cedar siding so rain and sun don't turn it gray or rotten.

DEEP-SEAL

Stops Rain & Rot

Penetrating oils soak deep into the wood to keep Oregon rainwater from soaking in.

CLEAN PREP

Washed & Brightened

We wash away gray dirt and moss so the new stain goes on smooth without blotches.

NATURAL

Real Wood Look

Keep the warm, rich look of cedar and fir without peeling like cheap paint.

Quality control from prep to the final walkthrough.

Bare wood in Oregon has a short life if left unsealed. Winter rain gets into the grain, causing rot, and summer sun turns it gray. Staining is the best protection for your deck and cedar siding. We wash and brighten the wood first so the stain soaks in evenly instead of blotching, then apply high-quality penetrating sealers to keep the wood healthy.

Included in Every Project

  • Wash away gray dirt, algae, and mold before staining
  • Clear, semi-transparent, and solid stain options
  • Decks, fences, pergolas, and cedar siding
  • Deep-penetrating sealers that block out rain

Frequently asked questions

Simple, straight answers about timelines, paint, prep and estimates.

All FAQs
How often should a deck be stained in Oregon?
Deck floors usually need stain every 2 to 3 years because rain and sun hit them flat. Fences and siding last 4 to 5 years.
Can you stain over an old painted deck?
Stain has to soak into bare wood. If a deck has old peeling paint, we either need to strip it to bare wood or use a solid deck coat.
What is the difference between clear and solid stain?
Clear or semi-transparent lets all the wood grain show through. Solid stain looks like paint and covers up old weathered wood best.
Do you power wash the deck hard?
No. Blasting wood with high pressure tears the grain and leaves marks. We use gentle wood cleaner and low pressure to protect the wood.
What time of year is best for staining?
Late spring through summer when we get several sunny, dry days in a row so the wood is totally dry before we stain.
